Games published on the Kongregate Platform must comply with the Kongregate Content Standards and the Developer Moderation & Enforcement Policy, which describe the types of content that are not permitted on the platform.
In general, developers may not upload, distribute, or enable content that violates applicable law or that is restricted under the Kongregate Content Standards. This includes, for example:
Illegal content or activities, including content that promotes or facilitates unlawful conduct.
Content that infringes intellectual property rights, including the unauthorized use of copyrighted materials, trademarks, music, art, or other third-party assets.
Harmful or abusive content, including harassment, threats, or content intended to target or harm individuals or groups.
Malicious or deceptive software, such as games that contain malware, hidden functionality, unauthorized data collection, or deceptive monetization practices.
Content that violates privacy or data protection laws, including unauthorized collection or misuse of personal information.
Content designed primarily for children under the age of 13, since the Kongregate Platform is intended for players aged 13 and older.
Use of bots, traffic exchanges or similar intended to fraudulently inflate revenue.
Any other content prohibited under the Kongregate Content Standards or applicable Documentation.
Developers are responsible for ensuring that all elements of their game — including gameplay mechanics, artwork, music, narrative content, advertising, and user-generated content features — comply with these policies.
Kongregate may review Games and Game Materials for compliance and may remove, restrict, or take enforcement action where content violates the Content Standards or the Developer Moderation & Enforcement Policy.
